"FIGURE STUDIES"
Oil on Canvas
116 cm x 73 cm (45.7" x 28.7")
Javier Arizabalo was born in France in 1965. His passion for art lead him to Spain where he studied and earned a degree from the School of Fine Arts in Bilbao. From 1997 – 2001 he was a professor of painting at La Academia Municipal in Irun.
Arizabalo’s paintings are elegant master studies of the human form. His gentle, yet precise brushstroke accentuates his skill as he creates voluptuous, life-like figures that seem as though they will step off the canvas or turn to gaze into the space of their viewer.
Arizabalo’s paintings can be found in collections in Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Spain, the United States, France, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Russia, and Kuwait.
