Giovanni Manzo lives and works in Naples, Italy. Born in 1966, Manzo is internationally known for his innovative style in which he combines three art techniques: painting, graphic art, and photography. These techniques play significant roles in his pieces. Painting allows Manzo to convey a romantic view, while the photography and graphic art gives each canvas a contemporary flair.
He prefers to paint the city of Naples – revisiting it from a modern viewpoint unlike other artists – depicting a modern perspective of the city to the world.
Manzo expresses the movements of the cities through natural characters and objects. Depicted as if captured in a photograph, the city seems alive under the layers of paint.
