The paintings of Hinojosa make her a true pioneer of Neo-Impressionism, and she uses vibrant colors to transmit her thoughts and feelings which are at times difficult to express into words. She defines her work as spontaneous, never knowing what she is going to paint, and at times it comes out on its own. She admits to being strongly influenced by music, and notes classical and opera as examples. Paloma Hinojosa’s lyrical, romantic, and harmonious paint- ings easily draw the spectator into a mystical and beautiful world.
Hinojosa has participated in over 20 private and 50 collective exhibitions all over the world since 1971. Some of the locations where her work has been exhibited include: throughout Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Toledo, San Sebastián, Sevilla), France (Paris), and the US.
